The Time component collects a time of day, such as an appointment time or shift start, without a date. Users enter it with the browser's own time picker.

How the time is saved
The time is saved as text in the Format. For 2:30 in the afternoon:

The format controls the saved value only. How the picker looks, 12- or 24-hour, depends on the user's browser and computer settings.
To collect a date and a time together, use Date / Time with time input turned on.
