The Form component places one form inside another. Use it to reuse a block of fields, such as a standard contact or emergency-contact section, on many forms while maintaining it in one place.
Add a nested form
-
Build the reusable form first, for example Emergency Contact. Remove its Submit button: when nested, any buttons on it appear inside the main form.
-
On the main form, drag a Form component where the section should appear.
-
On its Display tab, enter a Name and choose the Form to include.
-
Save and test the main form.
Changes to the nested form appear on every form that includes it.

How data is saved
When the main form is submitted, the nested answers are first saved as a separate submission of the nested form, then the main submission is saved with that record included. So:
-
The nested answers are under the Form component's property name and
data, for exampledata.emergencyContact.data.phone. Use this path in scripts, mappings and SQL actions. -
Each main submission also creates a submission on the nested form. Those appear on the nested form's View Data tab, and any form actions on the nested form run for them.
-
Users need permission to create submissions on the nested form as well as the main form.
If you only want to group fields under one name, without a separate submission, use a Container instead.
Exporting
When exporting a form that includes another, export both. See Exporting and Importing Forms.
