GlobalForms 10.7.1, released . This release brings together platform updates, new features and fixes since GlobalForms 10.3.1.
Before you upgrade
-
Starting with 10.7.1, GlobalForms requires Node.js 22 or later and MongoDB 8 or later. Current releases require Node.js 24. See System Requirements.
-
If GlobalForms and GlobalCapture share a MongoDB server, update GlobalCapture before GlobalForms.
New features
-
Typed Signature component. Users type their name and see it in a signature-style font. Typed signatures appear in PDF snapshots.
-
Search submissions. Search all submitted values and submission IDs from a form's submission list.
-
Delete multiple submissions. Select several submissions in the list and delete them at once.
-
Color picker. Set background colors for Button, Panel and Well components without custom CSS.
-
PostgreSQL support for SQL data lookups (Resquel).
-
Resquel API keys. Require an API key on individual Resquel routes.
-
Select component: a Stored Data source type that uses JSON data already in the form, an option to sort options, and an option to remove duplicate options.
-
Text Area maximum length. Set a maximum number of characters for Text Area components.
-
HTTP request logging for server troubleshooting.
-
Single sign-on with OpenID Connect was introduced. Use GlobalForms 10.17.1 or later for single sign-on. See Single Sign-On with OpenID Connect.
Improvements
-
You no longer need to edit the client configuration file (
config.js) after installation or when the server address changes. -
Script editing boxes in the form builder can be resized.
-
Removing a file from a File component also deletes the file from the server.
-
Security: passwords stored in PDF Snapshot actions are no longer sent to the browser.
Fixes
-
File components with Display Images turned on no longer show a broken image for files that aren't images.
-
Select all in the submission list selects only the submissions on the current page.
-
Editing directly in the submission grid has been turned off, since it did not save changes. Open a submission to edit it.
-
Selecting a submission in the list opens it reliably.
