The Description of your node should provide notes about this node. This could include information about what is being deleted and why it’s being deleted. Descriptions can be very useful when revisiting workflows in the future.

Use Case

Delete documents in a Retention archive, based off of an expiration date.

Here is a workflow that is designed to find and delete documents that met the conditions for retention. Once in the workflow, expired documents have the following options:

  1. Automated Deletion after 7 days.

  2. Manual Deletion by a user secured to the Queue.

  3. Manual Retention by a user secured to the Queue to move the documents through a process to that prevents deletion.

This is useful for deleting documents automatically documents while still allowing a choice to delete it or reroute it through a different part of the GlobalAction workflow.
